Workers at the Neckertal Dam construction site outside Keetmanshoop in the //Karas region returned to work on Monday after a week-long illegal strike. The employees went on an illegal strike over accusations of labor malpractices like victimization, disrespect for workers’ rights and salary discrepancies by the company management.
Immanuel Ngaringombe is the new Secretary General of the DTA. He was elected at the party’s Elective Central Committee Meeting on Saturday. Ngaringombe who is currently a Councillor in the Walvis Bay Town Council replaces Acting Secretary General Elma Dienda who has been in the position for over a year.
