Different religious groups are playing their part in responding to the call to help the needy. The Christian Welfare Organisation based in Rehoboth and the Namibia Islamic Judicial Council both believe that lifting the poor out of poverty should not be left to government alone.

The Regional Councillor of the Otamanzi Constituency, John Iyambo has appealed to Government to speed up the supply of bulk water to constituencies in the Omusati Region. Currently, residents are drinking salty water from self-drilled boreholes or have to travel long distance to fetch water.
