A Cabinet committee is investigating ways to address the water crisis, particularly in the central part of Namibia. Because of the central part which experienced low rainfall, the Swakopoort, Omatako and Von Bach dams are running low.

The police in the Otjozondjupa region have discovered 70 boxes of ammunition along the Trans-Caprivi Highway. Only a few months ago, a number of farmers were arrested on charges of illegal possession of firearms and ammunition.
