The Councillor for the Khorixas Constituency in the Kunene region Elias Xoagub has donated grass bales worth more than 50 000 dollars as his contribution towards assisting farmers in the area. The Kunene region has for the past six years been declared a drought stricken area with Khorixas being one of the worst affected areas.

The Swakopmund Secondary School in the Erongo region wants to maintain a 60% pass rate in 2016’s grade 10 and 12 final examinations. The school celebrated its 40th anniversary under the theme: “Celebrating the 40th anniversary of Ons Eie SSS legacy while emerging promising possibilities for its future”.

A child of the liberation struggle died after being hit by a car on Friday night outside Windhoek. Police say commotion erupted shortly after the deadly incident which forced the driver to flee from the scene.
