Many Windhoek learners who had prepared for their examinations, had to receive counselling after learning that they would not be sitting for their Grade 10 and 12 examinations on Thursday. Windhoek teachers were joined by some of their learners on Thursday, as they sang and chanted slogans demanding for 8% salary increase.
Some Grade 10 and 12 learners in the Zambezi Region are disappointed that their examinations scheduled for Thursday and Friday are postponed until further notice. Learners said teachers should have chosen another time to strike than now when final examinations have already started.
