Residents of Agste Laan informal settlement on the outskirts of Windhoek are using bushes as toilets, posing a major health hazard.

Plans to set up a new suburb a few kilometers east of Walvis Bay by the end of 2016 have been stalled. Walvis Bay Mayor says an application submitted to the Namibia Planning Advisory Board NAPAB was rejected.

A Chinese businessman was arrested at Katima Mulilo after being found in possession of a pangolin skin. The police raided the premises of the businessman after a tip off. He is expected to appear in court on Tuesday.
