Namibians have been urged to partner with the Ministry of Education, through the non-governmental organisation, Forum for African Women Educationalists Namibia in order to support the State’s ‘Sanitary Pads Project’. Education Minister Katrina Hanse-Himarwa was speaking at the handover of donations to various beneficiaries, including FAWENA, by Morcar Fishing – in the capital on Wednesday.

A group of landless people in Walvis Bay are demanding the municipality allocates them land temporarily. About 100 of them were evicted on Monday while three women were arrested for fighting police officers, during the eviction.
