Newly elected community leaders in Windhoek’s informal settlements have bee been urged not to sell land illegally to people. This was said by the Community Development Officer representing the City Of Windhoek, during the handing over of certificates to community leaders in the Samora Machel settlement.

The Kalimbeza Rice Project in the Zambezi region is one of the most successful projects under the Green Scheme initiative. Within a short period of its existence, the project has now positioned itself to become the major rice producer contributing towards food security in the country.

Army worms continue to cause damage to maize crops in the Zambezi Region. The pests have been invading the Kataba farm in the Masida district since January.
