Construction workers on the Windhoek-Okahandja dual carriage road are complaining about the delay in payment of salaries, which was supposed to be paid on the 26th of this month. The main contractor of the road is Otesa Civil Engineering Company.

Police officers are the first responders at accident scenes long before any emergency services arrive. It is against this background that about 200 police officers will receive training on how to save lives in cases of emergency during car accidents on Namibia’s roads.

The various programmes implemented by the Food and Agricultural Organisation (FAO), aimed at improving agricultural potential in the country, have been a major success. But the outgoing FAO Representative to Namibia Dr Babagana Ahmadu says more still needs to be done.
