The 31st Annual General Meeting of Meatco ended with a number of positive outcomes. This is despite earlier commotions caused by some disgruntled farmers who nearly disrupted the meeting.

The Katutura Magistrates Court has issued an urgent interim order to allow 17 people who were evicted from a community housing unit to return. The group has been sleeping outside the unit for a month now.

A memorial service was held for the late sergeant Aina Magano Iileka, the police officer who was hit by a vehicle while on duty at Oshiko road block, in Ongwediva. The memorial service was held at the same spot where her life was taken, on the 15 June.
