The Swapo Party Elders’ Council has endorsed President Hage Geingob as its sole candidate for the party’s presidency. This was announced at the just ended conference of the elder’s council at Outapi.

President Hage Geingob says although individuals compete against each for positions into party leadership structures they should do it in the spirit of unity.

Omusati Swapo Regional Coordinator, Sacky Kayone says young people are the leaders of tomorrow and serves as a transmitting belt of the party. Therefore, they should avoid fighting each other. Kayone made the remarks at the opening of the Swapo Party Youth League Regional Conference at Ombalantu.
