246 poachers arrested since 2014

Two-hundred-and-forty-six people have been arrested in connection with rhino and elephant poaching since 2014. During this period, the Ministry of Environment and Tourism recorded just over 500 cases of poached elephants and rhinos. These statistics were revealed at the Legislative Review Workshop on Wildlife Crime in Namibia, in Windhoek, Thursday.

Tsumeb compound standoff rumbles on

The stand-off between the landlord of Tsumeb’s Endobo Compound and its tenants, over outstanding rent, is far from being resolved.
