The Cuban government is expected to present its case against sanctions imposed by the US government once again to the United Nations General Assembly in November. The Cuban community and supporters in Namibia held a march in hope that this time around the UN will listen to its pleas to lift the sanctions.

The Cabinet has directed the Ministry of Industrialisation, Trade and SME Development and the Namibia Ports Authority to work out the modalities to fast track the implementation of the National Single Window System. The system aims to smoothen the logistic processes at Namibian borders.

New park management stations were inaugurated in north-eastern Namibia. The new stations come as a result of Namibia and the Federal Republic of Germany’s continued cooperation.

The Namibian Police say they are in possession of many certificates of conduct that people have applied for but have not collected yet. They have urged people to fetch the documents, as they are taking up too much space at various police stations.

Swapo’s Zambezi Region has also pronounced their support for President Hage Geingob for party president.

The Ministry of Information and Communication Technology has underscored the importance of the media in the country’s efforts to eradicate poverty.
