NDF new recruits would soon need Bachelor’s degrees

The criteria for recruitment in the Namibian Defence Force will soon change. The new soldiers who will join the NDF will have to first obtain a Bachelor’s degree. This follows the introduction of various military science programmes at the University of Namibia recently.

New minimum wage for farm workers set at N$1 400 per month

The monthly salaries of farm workers have been set at N$1 400 effective as from the 1 November 2017, thanks to an agreement signed by three unions. The raise represents a 25% increase since the first minimum wage which was first introduced in 2003.
