NamPol Traffic Division collects N$900 000 in traffic fines

The ongoing campaign to bring traffic regulation violators to book bearing fruit. So far, N$900 000 were collected in traffic fines within a space of one week. A total of 843 fines were issued since the 27 November 2017.

Minibuses ordered to offload excess luggage in Zambezi

Several long distance minibuses were ordered to offload at roadblocks in the Zambezi Region due to overloading. The move came after two minibuses traveling from Windhoek to Zimbabwe were stopped and ordered to offload excess luggage by the police at the checkpoint five kilometers west of Katima Mulilo.

Orushuuma residents commend health extension workers

Residents of Orushuuma village in Kunene region have commended health extension workers for their role in educating community members on health related matters. There are over 800 health extension workers trained in the country who conduct home visits to pensioners and persons with disabilities as well as provide support to pregnant women and newborn babies.
