Education minister announces JSC and NSSCH results

Just over 55% of learners who sat for the Grade 10 examinations this year have passed, while the perfomance of those who sat for the Grade 12 higher level certificate dropped. The Education, Arts and Culture Minister announced the top performers during a press briefing today.

Lions kill more livestock in Omusati

Extreme heat waves recorded in northern and southern parts of Namibia

High temperatures are recorded across the country, with the northern and southern parts of Namibia experiencing extreme heat waves. However, chief forecaster at the Namibia Meteorological Services, Odillo Kgobesti says a period of thunder showers can be expected very soon, as a result of these heat waves.

Petronella Masabane appointed acting Health Permanent Secretary

Petronella Masabane will be Acting Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Health and Social Services until further notice. This was announced by the Health Minister Bernard Haufiku. She replaces Andreas Mwoombola who had since been transferred to the Prime Minister’s office following a fallout with Haufiku. Masabane was Deputy Permanent Secretary in the ministry.
