President Geingob to host President Masisi of Botswana

President Hage Geingob will host President Mokgweetsi Masisi of the Republic of Botswana during a courtesy visit to Namibia. President Masisi will arrive on Monday 9 April 2018. The courtesy visit follows the recent swearing in and inauguration of President Masisi on 1 April 2018 as the fifth President of Botswana.

Ohangwena police confiscate items worth N$300 000 smuggled into the country

Police in the Ohangwena Region have confiscated items smuggled into the country through ungazetted entry points, on the Angola-Namibia border. The items, estimated at N$300 000, include 12 motor vehicles, 23 bicycles, 18 motorcycles, containers of Angolan petrol, clothing, food items, cement and alcoholic beverages.
