A study conducted by the Ministry of Education, in collaboration with UNICEF, indicates that the positive attitude of principals and teachers contribute to better performing schools. The study which was conducted in the //Karas, Khomas, Erongo, Oshikoto and Zambezi regions, was aimed at establishing why some schools perform better than others.
Floods in the Zambezi region have cut off villages and schools. The Masikili Primary School is among those cut off by the flood, while the road leading to the Masikili village is also flooded.

Namibia has reached another milestone with the inauguration of the Namib Sand Sea on UNESCO’s list of World Heritage Sites. The inauguration took place on Friday. This is the second time a Namibian site is listed as a World Heritage Site, after Twyfelfontein in 2007.
