Construction of houses under the Mass Housing Project have resumed in the Kronlein residential area at Keetmanshoop. The manager of Groenewald Properties, Ashlee Groenewald is confident that 92 houses will be handed over to their owners in February next year Under the mass housing programme Government plans to construct 285 houses at Keetmanshoop.
About 400 buffaloes were discovered dead as a result of drowning in the Chobe River Wednesday afternoon. The Ministry of Environment and Tourism said it is suspected the buffaloes were running away from a threat from the Botswana side. While they were running in panic, in an attempt to cross the river, a stampede occured.

Vice President Nangolo Mbumba has spoken out against the existence of outdated municipality by-laws. Mbumba particularly refered to the law that prohibits vendors from selling in public, without a licence. He was speaking at a conference on social protection for the informal economy.
