The SADC Ministers of Health say there is a need for collaboration in the prevention of deadly diseases among member states. Dr Bernard Haufiku says coordination can only be achieved by rendering support, sharing good practices, technical assistance as well as allocation of resources according to the magnitude of such outbreaks.

SADC member states have been urged to enhance their efforts to eliminate Malaria. Over the years, Malaria has been one of the dominant killers in Africa. However, in recent years innovating both technology and vaccines, the death rate has drastically reduced to almost zero in some countries.

Cabinet says it has implemented 90% of decisions taken at its meetings from October last year to March 2018.
