Unemployed registered nurses and radiographers demand employment

Unemployed registered nurses and radiographers from UNAM, IUM and Welwitschia University took to the streets to demand employment from the Ministry of Health and Social Services. The demonstrators marched to the office of the Oshana Governor to hand over the petition directed to the office of the Prime Minister and the Health Minister.

DROUGHT | Kunene livestock market collapses

The livestock market in the Kunene Region is proving a grave concern to many farmers in the area. The ongoing drought saw farmers selling their livestock off at unprofitable rates. Under current conditions, farmers have seen weaner calves, usually fetching around N$4 000, sold off for as low as N$200 per head.
