The two-day Economic Growth Summit has raked in N$20 billion from investors, exceeding its target of N$14,5 billion. This was announced by the chairperson of the High Level Panel on the Namibian Economy, Johannes !Gawagab at the end of the summit.

Nedbank Namibia handed over N$930 000 to the Go Green Fund to promote conservation in environmental areas that receive less attention at an event held in Windhoek on Tuesday. At the occasion, different speakers shared sentiments that there is a need for the business community to come on board and assist Government’s effort in conservation.

Women in business are encouraged to help strengthen legislation to achieve gender equality in Namibia. These remarks were made by Angelique Philander, the General Manager at the National Commission on Research Science and Technology, at the pitch event co-organised in collaboration with the National Innovation Challenge for Women.

Economist Milner Siboleka said the growth summit organised by the High-Level Panel on the Namibian Economy came at the right time. Siboleka hopes that it will give some solutions to issues affecting Namibians and bring about economic positive growth in the long term.
