Namport and China Harbour Engineering Corporation donated N$1 milion each towards drought relief aid. The donation was announced during the inauguration of Namport’s container terminal at Walvis Bay.

Senior citizens wished President Geingob well on his 78th birthday. Founding President Sam Nujoma and former President, Hifikepunye Pohamba also sent messages to Geingob, read by his advisor, Inge Zamwaani-Kamwi.

Mayor of Helao Nafidi Eliaser Nghipangelwa has dismissed media reports that businesses at Oshikango are continuously on the decline. Addressing a media conference Nghipangelwa says the reports in a local newspaper are untrue saying that businesses are still doing fine despite the closure of some foreign-owned businesses in the past years.
