The Swapo Party in the //Kharas Region raised nearly N$400 000 towards the upcoming presidential election campaign at a recent dinner held at Rosh Pinah. Members from all seven constituencies in the region and the chairperson of the national leaders assigned to the region, Bernhard Esau, attended the event.

The national clean-up campaign kicked off countrywide on Saturday. The main goal of the event is to cultivate a society where all citizens take action to stop littering and shift towards best practice methods of waste management, including the reduce, re-use and recycling of waste.
