The Ndonga Linena Constituency in the Kavango East celebrated Ghupampi Day, The term means hard work. The celebrations took place at Shitemo about 90 kilometres east of Rundu.

Representatives from deaf associations in Africa are meeting in the capital for eight days to discuss human rights issues affecting the deaf community. The event is being hosted by the World Federation of the Deaf.
