The Electoral Commission of Namibia (ECN) at the request of members of the Political Party Liason Committee held a consultive meeting today to discuss, amongst others, nomination procedures pertaining to the lists of candidates for the National Assembly election.
Namibia’s own barcodes could soon be a reality. The Namibia Trade Forum only needs 50 more signatures from business owners before it applies for the establishment of a barcode centre from the Global Standard One, the standards organisation that manages the assignment of various numbering schemes for global commerce.

The Rundu Town Council has destroyed a garden at the edge of the town which is irrigated with water from sewage ponds. This follows an NBC News report which exposed the existence of the garden at the ponds, situated near Kaisosi Informal Settlement.
