President Hage Geingob has declared 27 November a public holiday to allow Namibians to participate in the Presidential and National Assembly Elections. The decision was made on recommendation from the Electoral Commission of Namibia, in terms of section 64, subsection 6 of the Electoral Act, 5 of 2014.

The Namibia Students Financial Assistance Fund (NSFAF) will award additional loans to 15 087 undergraduate and 900 postgraduate students for the 2019 academic year. NSFAF is now calling on students who received the loans to come forth and sign the contracts.
