The South West Africa National Union (SWANU), is demanding that the names of those who died during the Old Location uprising be made available, and enshrined on a plaque at their monuments. SWANU president Dr Tangeni Iijambo said this at the SWANU offices in observation of Human Rights Day today.

Arriving back from Kenya this afternoon, after attending the African, Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) Group Heads of State Summit, President Hage Geingob paid homage to those who opposed Apartheid rule during the Old Location forced removal.
