Road safety campaign shows reduction in road fatalities

The #DoTheRightThingAndSaveLives campaign, launched on 25 November 2019, by the Motor Vehicle Accident Fund (MVA) and its partners in the road safety fraternity, shows a reduction in road fatalities of between 35% to 40% since inception.

Farmer loses 23 goats in lightning strike in Ohangwena

Heavy rain accompanied by strong winds and lightning caused damage to 23 homesteads at Okapundjena, Omundundu and Epundi villages in the Ohangwena Region last night. Mengela Amukoshi was hard hit when he lost 23 goats to lightening leaving him with only a few goats that survived the incident.

Farmer loses 29 goats in lightning strike

Rain across Namibia has brought relief to many but to some it has caused distress. At Okatumba Koukoze village in the Otjinene constituency, Mbinge Tjizoo lost 29 goats to lightning Thursday afternoon. This left the farmer, who had just endured a long spell of drought, heartbroken and distraught.
