The Katima Mulilo Abattoir, which was closed for more than five years, is about to be in operation again. The abattoir recently held its first trial slaughter.

A youth activist has urged political parties to introduce a youth quota system for positions in the National Assembly. Pius Iikwambi says, there are few young people in positions of power where decisions, which can potentially add value or affect them, are taken. Likwambi forms part of a civil society organisation known as Young Achievers.
