The Oshakati Town Council has relocated over 40 households from Oshoopala and Oneshila locations to higher ground, after their homes were flooded following heavy rains at the town.
The Ministry of Environment and Tourism (MET) has approved the construction of four wind power plants in the Tsau //Khaeb (Sperrgebiet) National Park at Luderitz. The Executive Director in the ministry Teofilus Nghitila says the power is expected to generate over 100 megawatts of electricity.
