An update on the COVID-19 lockdown regulations
With only a few hours to go before the lockdown in Khomas and Erongo regions takes effect, Health and Social Services Minister, Dr Kalumbi Shangula announced the regulations. The towns of Rehoboth and Okahandja, although falling outside the two regions, are also under lockdown.
Namibia’s COVID-19 situation will escalate should rules of the partial lockdown in Erongo be ignored. This is a warning by the regional Governor Cleophas Mutjavikua, who called on residents to minimise their movement and observe the lockdown.
