Churches have encouraged Namibians to heed the call of the President to stay at home and adhere to the set instructions for their own safety.
The Erongo and Khomas regions are under lockdown, meaning no entry or exit without emergency travel documents. Travelling to and from these regions has since been suspended until Friday 17 April. However, the Government has made provision for some essential service providers and those with pressing matters, to leave and enter the two regions.
Members of the joint emergency operation have raised concern about the lack of medical personnel at some roadblocks for the screening of travellers, especially after 22h00.
