About 26 members of gangs who have been terrorising Windhoek residents have been arrested. The gangs call themselves Boko Haram and K202 and have been causing harm to Katutura Central Constituency residents. They are detained at the Katutura Police Station. The gangs, who do not see eye to eye, operate in groups of about 10 to 20 people. Initially, they only consisted of young boys but are now headed by older men. The Councillor of Katutura Central Constituency, Ambrosius Kandjii, described the groups as very dangerous, as they are often armed with pangas. Kandjii urged parents to discourage their children from joining such groups.
