The influx of holiday goers at Katima Mulilo over the festive season, have boosted the business of traders at the town’s Open Market. Most of the entrepreneurs doing business at the Katima Mulilo Open Market are women, some who are the sole bread winners of their families. A range of food stalls cater to a variety of tastes, and residents can indulge in cooked food, including maize meal or pap – the local staple, as well as fish, meat or marathon chicken and vegetables.
