The Namibian Police today attempted to impound livestock and remove kraals belonging to farmers in the vicinity of Mix informal settlement, near Brakwater. Their attempt was cut short by City of Windhoek officials who requested for more time to allow them to look into alternative solutions to address the matter. The issue started last week when the Nationwide Operation Hornkranz visited the settlement after receiving a tip-off alleged illegal an unsafe slaughter of cattle sold to local kapana vendors in Windhoek.
