Thunderstorms accompanied by heavy rains left the town of Outjo without electricity since Thursday evening. Twenty-one poles were damaged at Gerus farms, south of the town as well. CENORED teams from Okahandja, Otjiwarongo, Tsumeb and Grootfontein arrived in the area to restore the electricity supply. The electrical shutdown, which occurred shortly after 18h00, affected the whole town of Outjo and surrounding farms.
