The driver of a white Toyota Hilux, who was was travelling from Swakopmund towards Walvis Bay late Saturday evening, died after he lost control of the vehicle which collided head-on with an oncoming white Range Rover at the Afrodite Beach area. The driver of the Range Rover, who was accompanied by three passengers, sustained serious injuries. After the collision, a white Toyota Run-X, which was travelling from Swakopmund towards Walvis Bay, ran over the wreckages from the two vehicles and this caused the driver to lose control over the vehicle but it came to a standstill on the sand. The deceased was alone in the vehicle. His identity is not yet confirmed and his next of kin have not been traced. The deceased’s body was taken to Walvis Bay Police Mortuary for postmortem examination. Police investigation continues.
