Power battle between Rundu councillors and the Swapo Party continue as three recalled councillors decided to involve their lawyers. Anastacia Shinduvi Antonio, Toini Hausiku and Isaak Kandingu filed a lawsuit against Swapo today. In a letter from Kadhila Amoono legal partitioners the trio called the move unlawful and are demanding that the party will stop seeking their removal from office. The are also demanding that the party will not persist with any action intended to enforce this decision. The Rundu Town Councillors defied the directive by the Swapo Party Secretary General, Sophia Shaningwa, who wanted the status quo kept last week. SWAPO then hit back this week by recalling the trio.
