It’s all systems go for the 90th birthday celebration of Founding President Sam Nujoma at Etunda village in the Omusati Region. The celebration, which is slated for tomorrow, is expected to attract many people from all over the country. Young and old have already made their way to the homestead for Friday night’s Oshungi before the main celebrations tomorrow. Oshungi is an ancient practice of the Aawambo community where young and old tell stories around the fire. The night will be rounded off with various performances as the countdown to the main event. The event is held under the theme ‘A life dedicated to Freedom and Humanity’.
