An ex-police officer was arrested for involvement in a criminal syndicate which allegedly planted fake diamonds in private vehicles and then pose as an officer of the law in a bid to extort money from the victims. The ex-constable was fired from the Namibian Police Force a few years ago after being frequently missing work as a result of his alleged criminal activities.
