While some people cast doubts over the credibility of the electronic voting machines (EVMs), visually impaired say the use of EVMs puts them at ease when casting their votes because the device has user-friendly features, including for the blind. People with visual impairment had for long relied on other people to lead them in the voting process until the introduction of electronic voting machines during the 2014 Presidential and National Assembly elections.
