The Namibian Food and Allied Workers Union (NAFAU), is threatening to call for a consumer boycott against all Shoprite shops across Namibia. This follows a stalemate during the recognition agreement negotiations between the two parties. The countrywide consumer boycott is scheduled for next month unless Shoprite management agrees to the union’s demand.
