Former Fisheries Minister Bernhard Esau has alleged that the Fishrot scandal appears to have been used to try and institute regime change in Namibia. In an affidavit filed with the Windhoek High Court, Esau, who is the first applicant, together with his co-accused allege that the timing of the Fishrot reports coincided with the end of the political campaigns for last month’s Presidential and National Assembly Elections.
