Over 200 000 people were food insecure while over 80 000 livestock were lost between October 2018 and September 2019 as a result of the drought. These figures were revealed in the recent Agricultural Inputs and Household Food Security Situation Report for December 2019 issued by the Ministry of Agriculture, Water and Forestry.
