SWAPO is contemplating disciplinary action against Dr Panduleni Itula, according to a letter circulating on social media and signed by the party’s secretary-general. However, the secretary-general of the party, Sophia Shaningwa denied having communicated with Dr Itula on social media. But, Dr Itula, who ran as an independent presidential candidate in the just-concluded elections, confirmed receipt of a letter from Shaningwa titled ‘Violation of Article 10.2 of the SWAPO Party Constitution’.
