A SWAPO Party School spokesperson says the 59 students studying towards certificates and diplomas are making progress. Deputy chairperson of the school board, Eunice Iipinge, says the learners completed Module One – which equips them with English, basic economics and computer literacy. She says the trainees are currently studying Module Two, dealing with the Namibian History, the Liberation Struggle and SWAPO’s establishment. The Secretary of the SWAPO Party Women’s Council says the rest of the models look into Namibian policies, international relations, roles of progressive movements and hygiene. She says the trainees will graduate with certificates and diplomas in Political Science. The Deputy Chairperson of the School Board urges regional party members to register for outreach training, leading to their selection for enrolment at the school. Iipinge was speaking at the launch of the Swapo Party Outreach Programme in the Otjozondjupa Region on Friday. The Party School was established in pursuit of a resolution of the 2012 SWAPO Party Congress, to bring harmony in the party’s leadership. The school is led by Marco Hausiku as rector, who is assisted by a 10-member board.
