South Africa’s President Cyril Ramaphosa left Namibia for Botswana Saturday afternoon. Ramaphosa is on a regional consultative tour as the SADC chairperson and also to introduce himself to SADC counterparts since assuming office. Prior to visiting Namibia, the South African leader was in Luanda, Angola and held talks with João Lourenço as the SADC chair of the organ on politics, defence and security. Ramaphosa and delegation met his Namibian counterpart and deputy chair of SADC, Hage Geingob, where the two leaders committed to renew bonds of cooperation to be discussed during their bi-national meeting later this year.
