Despite a high fatality rate on the Monte Cristo road in Windhoek, some schools in that vicinity are still waiting on the response from the City of Windhoek after requests to erect pedestrian bridges and tunnels to improve safety. Various schools handed over a petition to the City of Windhoek in June last year.
