One person died this morning in a car accident near Groot Aub. The accident occurred 04h00 on the Rehoboth-Windhoek road near Omeya Settlement. It is alleged that a white Toyota Hilux double cab driving in Rehoboth’s direction allegedly encroached into the line of oncoming traffic and collided with a truck. As a result, the truck overturned and covered the entire road. The driver of the bakkie, Liam Denzil Olivier, aged 22, died on the spot. The 42-year-old truck driver sustained slight injuries and was taken to hospital.
